“An integral part of the communications upgrade to Control Rooms at CNC Operational Units was the introduction of AudioSoft Digital Voice Recording equipment. This equipment was adapted and linked with the existing Zetron Communications Control System to meet the needs of the Constabulary Control Room staff.

Our Harwell Unit, in Oxfordshire, was used for the pilot and the initial installation began in September 2005. AudioSoft demonstrated commitment to the task by resolving several unforeseen difficulties during the pilot installation. After this initial installation, the rollout to all other units was completed within 3 months. The installations delivered were good; a neat job at all sites, with little disruption to our 24/7 operations.

The AudioSoft team contributed to our training documentation and helped build the training programme. Customer support supplied by AudioSoft was excellent throughout the entire project roll-out. Whenever there was an issue, support was available and your customer team provides continuing support for our systems. The AudioSoft team has shown the flexibility and provided technical support that has made the use of the digital recording equipment the success it is.

“May I take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to you and your staff who supported the above operation throughout a 9 month investigation which, during its investigative stage, pushed technology to its limits.

As you are aware, this operation focussed upon the supply of controlled drugs, in particular cocaine, amphetamine and cannabis throughout the Southern Wales police force areas. Initial intelligence indicated that an Organised Crime Group was actively sourcing significant quantities of these drugs from criminal associates that were predominantly from the London and Coventry areas. Early intelligence development also identified that the head of this crime group, had also forged links with other Organised Crime Groups throughout the West Midlands, Thames Valley and Essex areas.

Due to its complexity, I embarked upon covert methods of investigation in order to be in a position to effectively deploy resources and try and keep ahead of the game.

Throughout the long investigation, the equipment worked faultlessly enabling me to make timely and informed tactical decisions to achieve maximum benefit. As a result five Organised Crime Groups were identified from across Britain and Latin America that resulted in the arrests of 34 persons, the recovery of £2.5 million pounds worth of drugs, over £3/4 million pounds in sterling and the identification of over £4 million pounds worth of assets.

It is without doubt that the excellent result achieved was built upon the superb functioning of your equipment both in clarity and reliability.”
