AudioPC–ATC – new graphical user interface for air traffic control recording

AudioSoft has developed a new Air Traffic Control specific front end interface for AudioPC, its industry proven family of audio/radar recording solutions. AudioPC-ATC was designed in consultation with existing and prospective ATC customers of AudioSoft, to meet present and future requirements of ATC recording, replay and analysis.

Responding to requests from SATCO, ATCO and ATC Engineering Managers, AudioPC–ATC allows typical tasks such as system checks, recording checks, changing archives, incident replay, copy to DVD and alarm reporting to be carried out in a user friendly manner relevant to modern demanding Air Traffic Control requirements and environments.

AudioPC–ATC offers an intuitive and easy to use graphical interface (GUI) with many new and innovative features. At any one time activity on 32 channels can be displayed from a selection of 128 channels per recorder. In dual and redundant hot standby scenarios, one interface per recorder is utilized allowing scalability to thousands of channels of simultaneous voice and radar recording. All information within AudioPC–ATC is presented on screen and is accessed via single point and click operations.

Clearly identified channels for voice and radar are displayed in the main display window, which has user definable time periods, allowing one click access to listen to any recorded data files. As well as real time display of current recordings and channel activity, a menu allows zoom to date and time of previous recordings in incremental levels. Current and historical archive status on all media is also shown in the main display window.
