UK Civil Nuclear Constabulary go ‘critical’ with AudioSoft communications monitoring

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is the UK Police force that watches over the security of the UK’s civil nuclear research establishments and their radioactive materials in transit. Armed and highly mobile, with 650 officers plus dog teams, it works from eight operational command center sites nationwide in partnership with government surveillance agencies and commercial nuclear operators to provide a safe operating environment for the industry and the public.

Reassured by our long history of development and delivery of digital recording systems to the UK’s Police forces, the CNC chose AudioPC to compliment its new Tetra based Command and Control system by Zetron, with options on further systems for additional Command Center locations.

AudioPC-2030i will be integrated with Zetron’s DCS-5020. This version of DCS-5020 features touch screen consoles which also allow operators to search and replay AudioPC recordings, which in turn ensures maximum speed of operation in fast developing surveillance situations.

For AudioSoft, Chris Twemlow commented: “This project further demonstrates AudioSoft’s high degree of flexibility in integration, and the confidence within the Emergency Services community in AudioSoft’s ability to deliver solid operational benefits”.
