AudioSoft Courtroom recording and case workflow solution secures Scottish Courts contract

AudioSoft are pleased to announce our award to supply the Scottish Court Services. This was won in the face of stiff competition against a full commercial and technical evaluation of suitable products on the market.

The contract encompasses the supply and maintenance of recording solutions for Scottish Courtrooms across the country. Systems will initially be installed in 26 High and Sheriff courts, with a further rollout phase planned throughout 2007. They incorporate a complete case workflow solution - from recording through to courtroom transcription.

Key to the purchasing decision was AudioSoft’s ability to provide the Scottish Courts with a complete recording workflow solution - incorporating recording software, audio mixers, input devices and transcription software, as well as to provide an assured upgrade path for future technology requirements.

AudioSoft were confident of quoting a fully competitive price for a comprehensive solution which included a full maintenance contract covering legacy equipment for all 176 Courts under the jurisdiction of the Scottish Executive.

Will Hopkins, AudioSoft Business Development Manager said “The solution that AudioSoft supplied to the Scottish Court Services was developed to provide seamless workflow management, not just a replacement recording system. We worked in conjunction with the Clerks of Justice to really understand what they would need to ease their administration of the recording process. In terms of the Judicial market I understand that AudioSoft are the only organization who can offer this type of solution incorporating all aspects from audio recording to text process. I feel that this is an exciting time for AudioSoft in the Courtroom Technology arena”.
