Recording radio over VoIP networks, from anywhere - to anywhere With the ability to take in multiple audio types (analogue, digital, VoIP, Tetra etc) Trilogy Communication’s Mercury switch provides an ideally compact platform from which to acquire source data for an AudioPC recorder. This has recently enabled AudioSoft to provide Excelerate Technology with a 16 channel Emergency Services control and communications system. Used in a variety of environments, Trilogy’s Mercury system comprises one or more Mercury Interface Units, PCI Cards or USB devices connected to each other over a standard IP network. These devices, known as Mercury hosts, have varying capacities to suit differing operational requirements. It acts as a versatile audio processing unit and IP gateway which allows a wide range of external devices to be connected. As well as providing 16 input and 2 replay channels, the AudioSoft IPPC-1018 recorder was fitted with 300GB of RAID storage capacity. |
